Experiencing Pain

Comments

Just wandered in from the front page after clicking on the link for The Shack. Catchy header sent me to your front page. I'm adopted. Or rather was. Thirty-something years ago, my parents found out they couldn't have kids and were advised to adopt and it was further suggested to look for family who would be willing to give up a child. It being the Philippines, where poverty abounds, and my mother having many poor relatives, she and her American husband took a chance and asked her nephew if he and his pregnant wife would be willing to give up baby Number Five if it were a girl. They told them that they would raise her in the US and give her a life she could otherwise never have if she stayed in the Philippines with them.

My biological parents agreed, and eleven days after I was born, gave me to my parents who then, as promised, brought me to the US where I spent the first twelve years of my life. There are many details in between that I will spare you from but the short of the long is that I am now back in the US after living in Manila for 27 years.

I will be praying for you that God will give you the desires of your heart. Just this morning, I found encouragement from Ephesians 1:19-20: "I pray that you will begin to understand how incredibly great his power is to help those who believe him. It is that same might power that raised Christ from the dead."

Take heart. The next page of your story will be one page closer to your happy ending!

Very good lesson you learned through him.

Just remember that even when you're hurting God already knows where you're to go and He will get you there. It's very hard to see the plan but when you do I hope that you're able to have some of the why's answered.

Hey Annie! I would love to hear more about where you guys are. I should have just asked on Friday night. I apologize if I was insensitive. It was good to see you, we should hang out. I love the way you are sharing your story and they way you let others in on the good
Thank you for sharing your story with me. I also appreciate the verse you shared. I'm glad you stumbled upon our blog, and I definitely recommend reading "The Shack." It's a great read, and it gives you lots to think about.
You were not insensitive in anyway. Don't worry. :) Maybe Clint and Scott could exchange our information for us, so it's not posted all over the internet.
